Why Attend

Pharmacists should understand social determinants of health impacting continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) use in underserved populations and strategies to improve healthy equity, including culturally relevant interventions. This program will enhance pharmacists' foundational knowledge of CGM technology and practical strategies to overcome barriers such as workflow and reimbursement challenges.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the primary components and functions of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in diabetes management.
  2. Identify barriers to CGM utilization in underserved populations and describe culturally tailored strategies to address these challenges.
  3. Describe effective patient education strategies to improve CGM adoption and adherence in underserved populations.

12:50-1:00 pm: Q&A and learning assessment

Requirements for Obtaining Continuing Education Credit

Learners must be present for 70% or more of the webinar. Please ensure your screen name accurately identifies you. The activity evaluation, which includes learning assessment questions, is a requirement for CPE credit to be awarded. There is no minimum passing score required for the learning assessment questions. It is strongly encouraged that all learners participate in the active learning components of the program to gain the full benefit of the educational activity.
