Brent Boleslav, MS, a PhD student in the Division of Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Systems Pharmacology at the University at Buffalo (UB) Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, has been named a recipient of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP) Student & Trainee and Early-stage Professional Abstract Award.

Laura Weinstein, a PhD student in the Division of Drug Delivery and Pharmaceutical Bioengineering at the University at Buffalo (UB) Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, is the recipient of a Sigma Xi Grant in Aid of Research (GIAR). 

Ryan Ni, PharmD ’27, is a recipient of a State University of New York (SUNY) Challenge Scholarship Award.

During spring semester, the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) chapter of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) hosted an outreach event in Buffalo to help underserved populations manage the effects of hypertension.

On April 21, PharmD students from the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) traveled to Albany for Pharmacy Lobby Day to advocate on behalf of the pharmacy profession.

Karina Germakovski, PharmD/MS ’26, has been honored with the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award. She was one of 85 pharmacy students recognized nationwide.

From March 27–30, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) convened its Annual Meeting and Exposition in Los Angeles, with strong student representation from the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS). 

Mokshada Kumar, PhD student in the University at Buffalo (UB) Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, has received a Presidential Trainee Award from the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (ASCPT).

Over winter break, pharmacy students from the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) traveled to Belize, where they provided essential patient care services and gained firsthand experience working with underserved communities.
