The University of Buffalo (UB) School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) offers both residency and fellowship programs in a wide variety of areas including community, ambulatory, global health, informatics, public health, academic leadership and specialty areas such as psychiatry.

A UB SPPS postgraduate experience will place you amongst an elite group of pharmacists, with advanced skills to lead the profession and make a difference in patient care.

Our residency programs provide postgraduate clinical training in either general (PGY1) pharmacy practice or within a specialized (PGY2) area of pharmacy practice. These experiences prepare our residents for advancement within the profession of pharmacy. All of our residency training programs are accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Training in a program administered by UB SPPS provides numerous advantages, including an advanced academic teaching certificate and faculty research mentors.

The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offers multiple academic fellowships in a diverse range of specialties. Academic fellows are mentored by our world class faculty and integrate into our innovative research programs. Programs are one to two years in length and may be completed immediately after completion of a PharmD degree or after completion of residency training.
