The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education provides live webinar and online enduring continuing education (CE) activities designed to meet the needs of pharmacists in all practicing settings. Our educational activities encompass New York State changes in scope of practice and required pharmacist CE topics.
This program satisfies the requirement for training to dispense self-administered hormonal contraceptives pursuant to the New York State standing order. Accredited for 2.0 contact hours (0.2 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education.
This training provides an overview of the role of the pharmacist in harm reduction as well as practices for providing harm reduction services. This course will identify barriers to implementing these services and highlight strategies for pharmacists to implement these services. Accredited for 1.5 contact hours (0.15 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education.
This webinar provides an overview of the impact of stigma on patients with substance use disorder (SUD) and the role of the pharmacist, including practical strategies for addressing stigma and identifying and resolving pharmacists' red flags. Accredited for 1.5 contact hours (0.15 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education.
Commencing with registration period beginning on or after January 1, 2023, a licensee shall complete as part of the 45 hours of formal continuing education at least three hours of formal continuing education acceptable to the department in compounding. Our online enduring compounding three-hour continuing education activity meets this requirement.
