The event gave more than 100 students the opportunity to network with local and regional professionals in a wide variety of fields, including hospital, community, industry, and managed care.

“This was a fantastic cross-section of pharmacy innovation,” said Elizabeth Patt, ’21, SPSA secretary. “Wisdom and comfort can be taken from hearing pharmacists discuss the 'nitty gritty' of their career path: innovation, failures, doubts and opportunities. Learning what is out there is half the battle of learning what you want, and the Networking Event helps students to see this potential.”

Companies and industries represented at the event included:

  • Rite Aid
  • CVS
  • Neighborhood Health Clinic
  • Middleport Family Health Center
  • DrFirst, Inc.
  • Kenmore Prescription Center
  • VA Medical Center of Western New York
  • Phillips Lyttle, LLP

The School of Pharmacy Student Association represents the student body and sponsors social functions. It is comprised of the class officers and officers of the other student organizations.
