Fusco elected Director at large of Pediatric Pharmacy Association

Nicholas Fusco, PharmD '10, BCPS, BCPPS, clinical associate professor, pharmacy practice, has been elected Director-at-large for the Pediatric Pharmacy Association (PPA).

Fusco teaches in acute care pediatrics and his scholarship focuses on the areas of pediatric infectious diseases and interprofessional education. He has been a PPA member since 2012 and served as co-chair of the Fall 2016 Meeting and chair of the Spring 2018 Annual Meeting.

The mission of PPA is to advance pediatric pharmacy practice, support the health and wellbeing of children, and promote safe and effective medication use in children through collaboration, advocacy, research and education.

"I’m honored to be selected as an at-large director position with PPA," Fusco says. "I consider PPA to be one of my professional homes. It has allowed me the opportunity to network and grow with a group of enthusiastic and talented members, for which I am very grateful."

Fusco is the faculty advisor of the UB SPPS student chapter of PPA and is an active member in other professional pharmacy organizations, including the Pediatrics Practice and Research Network of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the Pediatric Pharmacy Special Interest Group of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
