Accelerated educational partnerships established with additional SUNY Community Colleges

The 2+4 agreements allow students to complete two years of undergraduate study at State University of New York (SUNY) community colleges in an associate’s degree program and then apply to UB’s PharmD program. These are in addition to existing partnerships with 17 other SUNY Community Colleges. Also as part of these agreements, a minimum of two qualified students from each Community College will be guaranteed acceptance into the UB SPPS each year.

A memorandum of agreement was formally signed by Dr. James O’Donnell, dean of the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and respective community college senior leadership.  

Discussing the partnerships, O’Donnell said, “The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences values our collaboration with State University of New York community colleges and these 2+4 agreements will further solidify our strong partnerships. We look forward to having their best and brightest students as members of our PharmD program.”
