Welcome to the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (UB SPPS)!

Orientation: August 26 - 27, 2021

Orientation is mandatory for incoming PharmD, MS and PhD grad students, as well as for rising junior undergrad Pharmaceutical Sciences students. It is optional (but encouraged) for BS/MS and PharmD/MS students who are starting the MS program.

Attendance, Attire and Nametags

Thursday
Students must dress professionally today. All sessions are required. PharmD students must wear their nametags.

Friday
Students may dress casually today. All sessions are required. PharmD students must wear their nametags.

Health and Safety Protocols

The health and safety of the university community and our guests remains UB’s highest priority. All guests are required to:

  • Complete the required Daily Health Check and retain proof of completion as you may be asked to provide proof of completion while you are on campus. (For your convenience, consider taking a screenshot to assist with this.)
  • Abide by all University at Buffalo health and safety guidelines, including:
    • Distancing: Physical distancing is not required for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals indoors or outdoors on UB campuses. However, unvaccinated persons are encouraged to observe physical distancing wherever practical.
    • Masks: In accordance with updated guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Erie County Department of Health, the University at Buffalo will require all students, employees and visitors – regardless of their vaccination status – to wear face coverings while inside campus buildings.
    • Personal Preventative Measures: Please wash hands/use of hand sanitizer and stay home when sick.
    • COVID-19 Symptoms/Positive Test: If you test positive or are experiencing symptoms during any orientation programming/events, please call your primary care provider and do not attend any programs/events.

Photography Policy

UB will occasionally have a photographer at events such as this. Please be advised that UB may use photographs taken during events for publication in print and online, including social media. Please alert the photographer at the event should you not wish to have your photograph taken.
