PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Resident, UB SPPS/Middleport Family Health Center

Dr. Carly Messenger is from Rochester, NY and received her PharmD from St. John Fisher University, Wegmans School of Pharmacy in Rochester, NY.  Her professional interests include ambulatory care, diabetes management, and academia. In her free time, Dr. Messenger enjoys watching horror movies, playing chess, and traveling.

PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Resident, UB SPPS/Buffalo Psychiatric Center

Dr. Samara White is from San Jose, California. She studied Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley and was a diver on their NCAA Championship-winning team. Prior to earning her PharmD degree from the University of Southern California, Dr. White worked as a certified personal trainer and as a caregiver to minority women experiencing acute psychiatric conditions & developmental disorders. She is a proponent of mental & physical health, wellness, and mindfulness. Dr. White is also passionate about improving health literacy, access, and trust in minority populations as well as decreasing stigma associated with mental health disorders and medications. In her free time, Dr. White enjoys participating in a broad range of fitness activities, especially powerlifting, calisthenics, and biking. Dr. White also enjoys cooking, sewing, and travelling to tropical destinations.  

Olivia Denny, PharmD.
Olivia Denny, PharmD

PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident, UB SPPS/Buffalo Medical Group

Dr. Olivia Denny is from Barker, NY.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Rochester in 2018 and her PharmD from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2022. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Buffalo General Medical Center in June of 2023 and is currently a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident at Buffalo Medical Group. Her professional interests include ambulatory care pharmacy practice with a focus on primary care, cardiology, diabetes management, transitions of care, medical mission work, and academia. Olivia enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends in her hometown, boating on Lake Ontario, hiking, and traveling.
