The UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) Department of Pharmacy Practice invites you to join us to further your post graduate education and explore your interest in academic pharmacy through our highly focused and specially curated UB SPPS PRODIG+ Pharmacy Practice Fellowship.

Position Summary

The SUNY PRODIG+ Fellowship is a structured two-year experience, offered through the UB SPPS Department of Pharmacy Practice (PHM), Division of Outcomes and Practice Advancement. This fellowship is designed to prepare the fellow for a career as a tenure-track track (TT) faculty member. 

Fellowship programs within the UB SPPS PHM typically entail engagement in each academic pillar, including research (70-80%), teaching (10-20%), pharmacy practice (10-20%), and community service/leadership (5-10%).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • PharmD awarded from an ACPE-accredited college/school of pharmacy, or PhD in a related field.
  • Candidates with a PharmD degree must be licensed, or eligible for licensure in New York State.
  • Experience: demonstrate personal, academic, and/or work experience engaging with diversity, equity, and inclusion and/or a commitment to facilitating and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the campus community.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current SUNY students, alumni, and/or fellows.
  • Candidates who have or will have, by the start date:
    • Completed a postgraduate-year-1 ASHP-accredited postgraduate pharmacy residency or a postgraduate-year-2 ASHP-accredited postgraduate pharmacy residency.
    • Completed a pharmacy-related postgraduate fellowship.
  • Candidates from a low-income background (e.g., Pell-eligible as undergraduates), were first-generation college students (students whose parents have not earned a bachelor’s degree), have overcome adversity, are AmeriCorps alumni, or are veterans.
