The fellow will be expected to conduct research projects, abstracts, posters, and final manuscripts as a primary author or co-author under the mentoring of UB faculty members. Projects will range in scope from being prospective grant-funded research to exploratory retrospective analyses in drug therapy outcomes, pharmacoepidemiology and health services research areas. Opportunities will also exist to assist with grant preparation and submission as co-investigator or principal investigator. The fellow will gain experience in study design methodologies, data analysis, and dissemination of research through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and to the broader scientific community.
The fellow will receive an academic appointment as an adjunct instructor in the UB SPPS. The fellow will be responsible for preparing and delivering a continuing education seminar, co-precepting for both introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experience rotations.
