2025 pharmacy graduates preparing to sit for the New York State Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE).

Why Attend

This program is intended to provide a comprehensive review of legal issues governing the profession of pharmacy on both a federal and state level. This program will help prepare 2025 pharmacy graduates for the New York State Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE).

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the pharmacist learner will be able to:

  1. Outline New York specific aspects of controlled substance prescribing and dispensing.
  2. Discuss federal and state response to the most recent opioid crisis.
  3. Discuss the pharmacists role in medical cannabis dispensing.
  4. Discuss how New York achieves quality assurance for the profession of pharmacy through licensing, continuing competence and regulation.
  5. Discuss the application of prescription laws and regulations in pharmacy practice and their impact on minimizing medication errors.
  6. Identify Professional Misconduct law and Unprofessional Conduct rules and their impact on minimizing medication errors.
  7. Discuss institutional pharmacy practice regulations and their impact on medication safety.
  8. Describe the requirements for patient counseling and distribution of patient information materials.
  9. Describe the responsibilities of the Supervising Pharmacist.

Program Cost for 2025 Pharmacy Graduates

Day 1 and Day 2 of this activity (5/28 and 5/29) must be purchased separately. The fee is $55 per day ($110 for the full, 2-day activity).

Cancellation and Refund Policies

Cancellation:

The Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education reserves the right to cancel live continuing education activities for any reason, including low registration. Registered attendees will be notified in advance with the option to receive a refund or account credit.

Refunds: 

For live webinar activities, no requests for refunds will be honored after educational materials have been disseminated to registered attendees (typically 24 hours prior to the program start). Other refund requests will be managed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education (contact information below).
