Program Objectives

1. Discuss the impact of medication errors and unsafe medication use encountered in the treatment of diabetes.
2. Identify strategies to mitigate risk for preferred glucose-lowering agents in patients with chronic kidney disease.
3. Describe a treatment plan for type 2 diabetes that considers patients' degree of renal impairment and additional patient-specific factors impacting safe medication use.

Achieving a passing score on the assessment post-test is not a requirement of obtaining continuing education credit; however, participating in all active learning components is.

Cancellation Policy

We reserve the right to cancel this program due to such factors as insufficient registration. Registrants will be notified in this case. Requests for refunds, minus a $10 service charge, must be made in writing and will be honored up to one week prior to the program. After that time, no refunds will be provided.
