The designation aligns closely with my ongoing work focused on improving medication use and outcomes in pediatric populations, as well as mentoring trainees in pediatric pharmacy and clinical research.”

Fusco is a clinician and educator whose work centers on pharmacy practice in pediatric acute care settings. He has a strong interest in exploring novel instructional methods that promote the development of interprofessional collaborative practice competencies, along with the use of instructional technology in health professions education programs. His therapeutic areas of interest include pediatric infectious disease management, prevention of antibiotic-associated adverse events and antimicrobial stewardship.

He has been a member of PPA since 2011 and has remained actively involved through committee service, educational programming and scholarly contributions. Most recently, he served a three-year term as an at-large director on the board of directors from 2022 to 2025.
