Calvin Meaney, PharmD, clinical associate professor and interim division head, Division of Outcomes and Practice Advancement, Department of Pharmacy Practice, has been named a 2023 Outstanding Reviewer for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s (ACCP) Pharmacotherapy Journal.
ACCP’s official journals engage many peer reviewers who evaluate submitted manuscripts and help determine which high-quality articles will be published. The best reviewers provide the highest-quality reviews consistently and in a timely manner.
Meaney was recognized by ACCP as one of 11 outstanding reviewers for 2023. He was also recently named a Fellow of ACCP.
“Serving as a peer reviewer is an incredibly important professional service duty that is traditionally underrecognized,” says Meaney. “It’s a wonderful honor to receive this award. I hope it inspires others in the field to continue providing prompt, focused, and constructive reviews to our pharmacy journals.”
Meaney has reviewed 7 manuscripts in the past 3 years. He will be recognized at the 2023 ACCP Annual Meeting during the Awards and Recognition Ceremony on November 12.
ACCP’s mission is to improve human health by extending the frontiers of clinical pharmacy through strategic initiatives, partnerships, collaborations and alliances.
