Thomas Nguyen, PharmD/MS ‘24 was an invited presenter at the 2022 American Transplant Congress for both a Rapid-Fire verbal presentation and What’s Hot, What’s New in Clinical Sciences Section presentation.

At both invited sessions he presented his research abstract: Tacrolimus Exposure Estimation in Stable Kidney Transplant Recipients using Maximum a Posteriori-Bayesian Approaches. Nguyen was pleased to be chosen to present his research and to represent the school. “At first this seemed like an overwhelming experience which quickly turned into a rewarding experience. As a student it was an honor to present our team's work and I would not have been in this position if it wasn't for my mentors and everyone else that contributed to this project” Nguyen stated.

Contributors to Nguyen’s research are co-authors: Nicholas Smith, PharmD, assistant professor, pharmacy practice, Brian Murray, MD, associate professor, medicine and Kristopher Attwood, PhD, research assistant professor, School of Public Health and Health Professions. Kathleen Tornatore, PharmD, professor, pharmacy practice is Thomas’ primary research mentor and lead researcher for the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences’ Transplantation and Immunosuppressive Pharmacology Research Program.
