PharmD students: Keeping the community healthy

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) students from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences took part in the Senator Ed Rath Health Fair on Saturday, August 8, at the Amherst Senior Center.

Students offered a variety of health screenings and services, including administering flu vaccinations, checking blood pressure and analyzing the body mass index (BMI) of attendees.

Vials of Life were also distributed to hundreds of residents. The kit contains important medical information that can assist emergency personnel in administering the proper medical treatment.
