Reiss, a University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences emeritus lecturer and active alumni volunteer, died Sunday, October 30, he was 88 years old. Reiss had an active presence in the school during the 1960s – 1990s and in 1986, chaired the school’s multi-day 100-year anniversary program and authored the commemorative Centennial Herald

He was founding editor of the Buffalo Pharmacist, the school’s first newsletter and also edited many other local pharmacy organization communication pieces. He served as the UB School of Pharmacy Alumni Association President in 1963-64, 1984-85 and 1985-86 and was the UB Pharmacy 1987 Willis G. Gregory Memorial Award recipient.
