Donald Mager, BS ’91, PharmD ’00 and PhD ’02, professor and vice chair, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, has been appointed a Fellow of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
FIP fellowship recognizes individual members of FIP who have exhibited strong leadership internationally, distinguished themselves in the pharmaceutical sciences and/or practice of pharmacy, contributed to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences and/or practice or pharmacy, and who have served FIP.
Mager was recognized at the FIP Virtual 2020 Congress Opening Ceremony on Sept. 17, 2021.
Mager has a strong history of international collaboration and service. He has been an associate editor of three prominent journals and held influential leadership roles at the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT), and the International Society for Pharmacometrics (ISoP). He is currently president of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP).
Mager is a leader in systems pharmacology and pharmacodynamics. His significant contributions include creating new theoretical concepts and applications related to targeted drug disposition, assessing properties of monoclonal antibodies, and developing cancer chemotherapy models.
Mager has been an engaged member of FIP for almost a decade, including being the founding chair of the PKPD and systems pharmacology special interest group.
