A manuscript by Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences Juliane Nguyen, PharmD, PhD, titled The Phenotypic Effects of Exosomes Secreted from Distinct Cellular Sources: a Comparative Study Based on miRNA Composition, has been selected for publication in a theme issue of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (APPS) Journal: "Pioneering Pharmaceutical Science by Emerging Investigators."

Dr. Juliane Nguyen is an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Buffalo. Her Therapeutic Biomaterials Laboratory investigates using exosomes and other nanoscale carriers for the treatment of diseases including cancer and ischemic heart disease.

Robert Bies, associate professor, pharmaceutical sciences, is principal investigator on an $880,000 grant from the Food and Drug Administration for his project entitled “Physiologically-based model of the female reproductive tract: vaginal and intrauterine delivery components.”

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A study led by the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences on the patterns of HER2 testing in New York State was recently published in the journal Pharmacogenomics.
