Research Development and Administration

UB’s HIV Clinical Pharmacology Research Program has received several grants totaling $1.86 million from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to fund new initiatives and partnerships in hepatitis C virus (HCV) drug development, nanomedicine research for tuberculosis (TB) and pharmacogenomics of neurocognitive disorders for people with HIV/AIDS, as well as to extend ongoing research projects.

We serve as the centralized unit for grant proposals, grant administration, grant management, fiscal management and administrative services for externally funded research.

It is our mission to augment the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences research activity by providing professional administrative support and guidance to assist faculty and staff in their pursuit and management of externally funded research.

Our office advances the research mission of the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences by:

  • Promoting research excellence
  • Creating research partnerships in the public and private sectors
  • Supporting the development of interdisciplinary research teams
  • Developing and nurturing the research workforce

Central to our mission is the goal of increasing the school's research activity by providing professional administrative support and guidance to assist faculty and staff in their pursuit and management of externally funded research.
