The UB student chapter of the International Pharmaceutical Student Federation (IPSF) and the American Pharmacist Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) hosted Cultural Night, an annual fundraising event for both organizations.

Forty-five students attended the event. A potluck dinner featured cuisine from a variety of countries, including spaetzle (Germany), kimbap (South Korea), samosas (India), lumpia (Philippines), plazek (Poland) and palaw (Afghanistan).

Donations received at the event will be used to purchase medications and supplies for students going on medical mission trips in January 2020.

The International Pharmaceutical Students Federation is and advocacy organization for pharmacy students that aims to promote improved public health through the provision of information, education and networking opportunities. The UB chapter focuses on outreach initiatives to underserved populations on the local, national and international level.

The American Pharmacist Association Academy of Student Pharmacists is the collective voice of student pharmacists, providing opportunities for professional growth, improving patient care and advancing the future of pharmacy.
