Remote Area Medical is a major nonprofit provider of free mobile clinics whose mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free, quality healthcare to those in need. The Virginia clinic, now in its 20th year, provided nearly $650,000 in health care services to 1,128 patients.

Under the guidance of preceptors Traci Aladeen (PharmD '16) and Edward Russak, senior research scientist, pharmacy practice, pharmacy students gave education and guidance on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle, along with counseling information to assist patients with managing their medications.

The UB International Pharmaceutical Students Federation is an organization focused on outreach initiatives to underserved populations on the local, national, and international level, including annual mission trips.

For over 130 years, the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has continually been a leader in the education of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, renowned for innovation in clinical practice and research.
