SPPS students provide health services and education at annual health fair

Senator Michael Ranzenhofer's Family Health Fair was held on Aug. 5 at the Amherst Senior Center. This annual free event provides healthcare services to the local senior community and is the largest health fair in Western New York.

Students from the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences provided blood pressure reading, medication therapy management and wellness education on diabetes and hypertension to over 100 senior citizens. New students from the class of 2021 also assisted.

The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has been participating in this health fair for more than 20 years.

For over 130 years, the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has continually been a leader in the education of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, renowned for innovation in clinical practice and research. The school is accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) and ranked as one of the top 25 schools of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences in the United States.
