Fiebelkorn elected to serve on national Rho Chi committee

Karl Fiebelkorn, ’78, senior associate dean for student, professional and community affairs, has been elected to serve on the national Rho Chi Executive Committee as Regional Counselor, Region 1.

Fiebelkorn will advise 15 schools in his region, which includes New York, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut and Massachusetts. As Regional Counselor, he will also induct new chapters into the society.

In addition to his Executive Committee appointment, Fiebelkorn sits as a member of the Rho Chi Bylaws Committee and the Finance Committee. He previously served as Regional Counselor from 2011-2014.

The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has a proud history with the Rho Chi Society—the SPPS chapter was established in 1940, giving it the distinction of Region 1 Omega chapter.

Rho Chi is the national honor society for the profession of pharmacy. Rho Chi seeks to advance pharmacy through intellectual leadership. The Executive Committee consists of seven Officers and eleven Regional Counselors who advise schools in their respective regions or districts. Regional Counselors are elected by student vote from the regional schools during the annual meeting.
