"There is so much to be learned and gained by jumping in and doing new things!"

I graduated in 1989 with a BS in Pharmacy from the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.  A few years ago I was where you are now, wondering what pharmacy school was really going to be like. There is a lot to look forward to and, based on my personal experience, here are three distinctive aspects of UB’s program that have allowed me to be happy at UB and successful as an alumnus:

  1. Take every opportunity to try new roles and practice settings. You owe it to yourself to get out of your comfort zone.
  2. Study hard and work hard, but also take time to be a well-rounded student.  Make friends, get involved and start developing your own work-life balance.
  3. Volunteer for projects at work and for activities at school. There is so much to be learned and gained by jumping in and doing new things!
