Students from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and
Pharmaceutical Sciences will be taking part in medication therapy
management (MTM) clinics set up by the Erie County Falls Prevention
Coalition as part of a Falls Prevention Seminar Series.
The first seminar will take place on Friday, Sept. 22, at Schiller Park Senior Center from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. The event is part of the 10th annual National Council on Aging (NCOA) Falls Prevention Day.
The purpose of the Erie County Falls Prevention Coalition is to work together to prevent falls among the Western New York (WNY) senior population.
The coalition is made up of representatives from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Erie County Medical Center, the Matter of Balance program, Touching Hearts at Home, Erie County Senior Services, Catholic Health System, the Wellness Institute, BlueCross BlueShield of WNY, Independent Health, Kaleida Health, and Elder Care of WNY.
