Nicholas Fusco, clinical associate professor, pharmacy practice, was elected chair-elect of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Pediatric Pharmacy Special Interest Group.

AACP Special Interest Groups (SIG) are designed to help individuals stay informed and connected to colleagues with similar interests. The mission of the Pediatric Pharmacy SIG is to facilitate pediatric faculty collaboration and communication of ideas and innovations in teaching, research, practice, and service activities related to neonatal and pediatric pharmacotherapy that will positively impact student learning.

Fusco also serves as Interim Director for the Office of Experiential Education. His teaching focuses on pediatric pharmacotherapy and interprofessional education, and his clinical scholarship concentrates on pediatric infectious diseases. He was the 2018 recipient of the UB SPPS Rho Chi Teaching Excellence Award, and the 2017 AACP Teacher of the Year.

Fusco previously served as the Secretary of Knowledge Management for the AACP Pediatric Pharmacy SIG.
