SPSA hosts fall networking event

On Sept. 22, 2016, the School of Pharmacy Student Association (SPSA) held its annual Fall Networking Event at the Hotel Lafayette.

Over 100 students attended to speak with professional pharmacists from around Western New York. A "speed dating" portion of the evening allowed each student to speak with each pharmacist to network and create connections in the pharmacy field. "It was a very successful event," remarked Taylor White, '18, president of SPSA.

Pharmacists who particpated were Nicole Albanese, clinical assistant professor, pharmacy practice; Edward Bednarczyk, '84, department chair and clinical associate professor, pharmacy practice; Christopher Daly, '12, clinical assistant professor, pharmacy practice; Karl Fiebelkorn, '78, senior associate dean for student, professional and community affairs; Nick Ladziak, '15, Buffalo Medical Group resident; Todd Martino, Tops Markets; Lisa Leising, CVS Pharmacy; and Martin Burruano, '86, Independent Health. Pharmacy sales representatives Chris Barry and Jay Shearer also participated.
