UB had one of the largest student chapter delegations at the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) Annual Meeting and Exhibition in Dallas, TX.

Robert Wahler, '00, clinical assistant professor, pharmacy practice, and SPPS student attendees presented at the Robert J. Miller Research and Education Poster Session on the creation and development of the falls risk clinic they developed. The session is supported by the ASCP Foundation in honor of Robert J. Miller, former president and long-time member of ASCP. Miller, a 1959 alumnus of the UB School of Pharmacy, was known for his enthusiasm and desire to nurture others' growth, and was a tremendous advocate for UB.

Elisa Torres, '17, previous vice president of the UB ASCP chapter, presented at a session entitled "Engaging ASCP Student Chapters and Preceptors for Professional Development in Older Adult-Focused Outreach," with contributions from Gabrielle Cozzi, '17, previous president of the UB ASCP chapter.

The ASCP Annual Meeting and Exhibition is the largest gathering of consultant and senior care pharmacists. ASCP represents over 9,000 pharmacy professionals, including students, serving the unique medication needs of the senior population.
