The University at Buffalo Department of Pharmacy Practice welcomed Collin Clark (PharmD ’17) as Clinical Assistant Professor on Jan. 1, 2020.

Clark will develop a clinical practice and research program in transitions of care. As part of this charge, he is currently helping to develop layered-learning practice model with pharmacy students and residents at Buffalo General Medical Center.

“Having worked with Collin as a student and postgraduate, I have the utmost confidence that his training and personal attributes will help him succeed in this role,” says William Prescott, clinical professor and chair, pharmacy practice.

Following a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency at the VA Western New York Healthcare System, Clark completed a National Research Service Award (NRSA) T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Health Services Research at the Primary Care Research Institute within the Department of Family Medicine at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

His research focus centers on the implementation and assessment of pharmacist provided clinical services. He has a particular interest in studying the pharmacist’s role in transitional care management across the continuum of care and medication optimization strategies for older adults with complex medical conditions.
