William Jusko, SUNY Distinguished Professor, pharmaceutical sciences, and Donald Mager, professor, pharmaceutical sciences, partnered with Michael Mayersohn, PhD ’71, professor at the University of Arizona, to present a five-day course in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in Shanghai, China, April 8-12, 2019.
60 attendees from various academic institutes and pharmaceutical companies in China participated in the program.
The Gerhard Levy Memorial Forum, sponsored in part by Guangzhou Dazhou Biomedicine Co., Ltd., took place in honor of Dr. Gerhard Levy, the late emeritus distinguished professor who established the University at Buffalo Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1958. During the 1940s, Dr. Levy spent his childhood living in Shanghai after escaping Germany before World War II. Dr. Levy’s residency during the WWII period is recognized by the inclusion of his name at the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum Memorial Wall.
