Rosenberg to receive SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Professional Service

Rosenberg is being recognized for her exemplary work in admissions and advisement, notably:

• Transformation of the school's Early Assurance Program and the 2+4=6 option
• Creation of Dean’s Alumni Ambassador and Alumni Mentor programs
• Expansion of the PharmD orientation program
• Creation of a summer camp program for high school students
• Initiation of prospective student visitation program
• Initiation of critical 3+4 and 2+4 affiliation agreements

"Jennifer’s dynamic leadership has elevated our school and kept us competitive in a rapidly changing environment for student recruitment and admissions," said James O'Donnell, dean of the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Rosenberg began her service at SPPS in 2007 as the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Advisement, and was promoted to Associate Dean and Director of Admissions, Enrollment Planning and Undergraduate Advising in 2015.

She has published in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, presented at meetings of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling, the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling, and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and published a book within the field of identity formation entitled Muddy Ruggers: Gender Construction and Identity Formation Among Members of a Female, Intercollegiate Rugby Team.

She served as a College Assembly Delegate, Membership Co-Chair and Executive Board Member for the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC); as University Center Representative and Executive Board Member for the State University of New York College Admissions Professionals (SUNYCAP); and is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the National Association for Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP), the New York Graduate Admissions Professionals (NYGAP), and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).  

Rosenberg is a recipient of the 2008 SUNY College Admissions Professionals Outstanding Achievement Award for excellence in admissions marketing pieces, the 2004 SUNY College Admissions Professionals Professional of the Year Award, and the 2008 School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Staff Recognition Award. She has lectured in UB’s Graduate School of Education and been a guest lecturer at SPPS as well as at SUNY Brockport and SUNY Fredonia.
