UB pharmacy students answer call for help from fellow pharmacy students in Houston

The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences student chapter of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) answered a call from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy to provide disaster relief to schools affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The University of Houston's APhA chapter posted a list of items needed in schools in Houston, Rockport and Matagordo Counties and UB pharmacy students responded swiftly and generously with donations of school supplies and cleaning items.

The donations were sent directly to Texas, where temporary classrooms are being established while schools and communities work to rebuild.

For over 130 years, the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has continually been a leader in the education of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, renowned for innovation in clinical practice and research. The school is accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) and ranked as one of the top 25 schools of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences in the United States.
