The Rho Chi Honor Society inducted the new Class of 2019 members on April 20, 2017, at The Foundry in Buffalo.

Erin Slazak, clinical assistant professor, pharmacy practice, was awarded Rho Chi Faculty Member of the Year at the event. Alumnus Thomas Platak, '68, received the Rho Chi Alumni Member of the Year Award. Both honorees spoke to the evening's guests about their careers and offered advice to the new inductees.

Rho Chi is a national pharmacy honor society that promotes high scholarship. On the basis of their academic standing (top 20% of their class), students may be invited to membership in their second year of study.

The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is a leader in the education of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, renowned for innovation in clinical practice and research. The school is accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) and ranked as one of the top 25 schools of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences in the United States.
