PGY2 Ambulatory Care Resident, Buffalo Medical Group
Dr. Madalyn Rossi received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University at Buffalo. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She is currently completing a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at Buffalo Medical Group. Her professional interests include primary/geriatrics care, managing chronic disease states including diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and precepting students. In her free time, Dr. Rossi enjoys traveling and hanging out with family, friends, and her new puppy.

Dr. Laura Chen grew up in Brooklyn, New York and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency training at AdventHealth Celebration in Celebration, Florida. She is currently a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy resident at Buffalo Medical Group. Her professional interests include chronic care management, diabetes management, and cardiovascular risk reduction. During her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, running, cooking, the Disney theme parks, and the Florida beaches.

Dr. Christy Cheruvil is from New City, NY. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York and is currently one of the PGY2 Ambulatory Residents at General Physician, PC.  Her professional interests include primary/ambulatory care and precepting students. In her free time, Dr. Cheruvil enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and rock climbing.

Dr. Melissa Dhanraj was born in Georgetown, Guyana and raised in The Bronx, NY. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is currently working towards completing a PGY1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency at BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York. Her professional interests include formulary management and quality and utilization management. In her spare time, she enjoys learning Japanese, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with her siblings.

Dr. Casey Kern grew up in Rochester, New York and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Wegman’s School of Pharmacy at Saint John Fisher College in Rochester, New York. She is currently working towards completing a PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency at Middleport Family Health Center. Additionally, she is working towards completing her Advanced Academic Teaching Certificate at the University at Buffalo. Dr. Kern’s pharmacy career interests include transitions of care, ambulatory care, and academia. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, playing with her dogs, and baking cookies for family and friends.

Dr. Ruth Ngwu was born and raised in Nigeria. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Ghana, Accra, Ghana and her Doctor of Pharmacy at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Ruth is interested in transitions of care, and in the future would like to go into entrepreneurship. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, running, and trying out new cooking/baking skills.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident, New York State Office of Mental Health at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center
Dr. Carolyn O'Donnell is from Barrington, IL and received her undergraduate degree in Music Business and the Entertainment Industries from the University of Miami and worked in the music industry before making the switch to pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota and her professional interests include mental health, substance use disorders, leadership, quality improvement, and academia. Outside of pharmacy, Dr. O'Donnell enjoys hiking, photography, music, and spending time with her (almost) two-year-old daughter.

Dr. Panthapattu was born in Kerala, India and raised in Congers, NY. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed her PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency at the Middleport Family Health Center. Her professional interests include transitions of care, primary care, and ambulatory care. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new ice cream parlors, and exploring the great outdoors through walks and hikes.
