Why Attend

The JCPP PPCP is being established as the national model for patient care across all practices settings. It is a culmination of years of evolution and controversy in the way pharmacists practice our profession. This program will provide you with an understanding of the development of the PPCP as well as how to take ownership of it in your practice. It will allow you to be better in fostering your professional responsibility to develop the next generation of pharmacists.

Objectives

  1. Describe the Joint Commission of Pharmacy Practitioners (JCPP) Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process (PPCP) to your peers and other health care providers.
  2. List chronologically, the development of the PPCP.
  3. Identify best practices for JCPP PPCP implementation into your practice.
  4. Discuss changes needed in your precepting pedagogy to produce work-ready practitioners versed in the JCPP PPCP

Accreditation Information

ACPE.

The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This program has been accredited as a knowledge-based activity. Credit will be uploaded to the CPE Monitor to those who successfully complete all program components and achieve a passing scoore of 70% or better on the post-test.  Credit will automatically be uploaded to the CPE Monitor within four weeks post-completion.
