Research interest focuses on the application of mathematical modeling as a tool to explore functioning of complex biological systems regulated by processes that can be controlled pharmacologically. Dr. Kryzanski‘s primary interest is in the hematopoietic system, attempting to reach a balance
between his theoretical work in the broadly understood field of pharmacometrics and experimental studies.
1. Hematopoietic system: Therapeutic applications of hematopoietic growth factors (erythropoietin, thrombopoietin, and G-CSF) and their recombinant human analogs. Toxic effects of anticancer agents on hematopoietic cells in blood and bone marrow. Dynamics of hematopoietic cell populations. Receptor mediated disposition of hematopoietic growth factors.
2. Pharmacometrics: Development through mathematical analysis and computer simulations of complex indirect response models, in particular, those which describe cell kinetics driven by lifespan distributions. Application of these models in population PK/PD modeling of agents affecting various cell populations. |
