Dr. Christopher Daly PharmD, MBA

Principal Investigator

Professor Daly, clinical assistant professor, pharmacy practice, research focuses on exploring many creative models that grow the academic mission of the School of Pharmacy. His charge is to lead, execute, and grow innovative pharmaceutical practice opportunities at the school's model facilities, Research Pharmacy and affiliated sites.

Currently, he is involved in coordinating the activities of the Research Pharmacy by strengthening internal operations and processes, acting as a liaison to UB Sponsored Projects, and most importantly aiding in the strategic development of the service center.

Supervising Pharmacist

Professor Reiman, Clinical Assistant Professor and Supervising Pharmacist, is the Course Coordinator and Laboratory Instructor in the Professional Practice course sequence and teaches an Advanced Extemporaneous Compounding elective course.


Louise Cooper RPh, MS

Project Pharmacist

Mrs. Cooper is currently a registered pharmacist and has a master’s degree in pharmaceutics at the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She worked as a compounding lab support specialist and is also the laboratory supervisor for Dr. Kathleen M. Tornatore-Morse at the NYS Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics & Life Sciences.

She has worked as the project pharmacist for the Research Pharmacy since 1998 and collaborated with other principal investigators on numerous research projects and clinical trials within University at Buffalo, as well as several teaching hospitals.

Denise Swiatek, PharmD

Project Support Specialist; Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Swiatek is a registered pharmacist in the states of New York and New Jersey.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Rutgers University in 1992 and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from UB in 1996.  She then completed a 2 year Neuropharmacology fellowship at the Dent Neurologic Institute and continued working at the Dent as a subinvestigator, clinical pharmacist, research coordinator and preceptor. 

Dr. Swiatek has published in the therapeutic areas of anticoagulation and stroke. Her extensive experience in research, clinical and academic arenas positions her as a valuable resource to Study Investigators.  Her expertise includes:  protocol development, compounding, dispensing, volunteer screening, patient education, data collection and manuscript preparation.  Dr. Swiatek also currently works as a hospital clinical pharmacist and as an instructor for pharmacy technicians.
