The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is very proud of our 5252 alumni. Graduates span the disciplines of pharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences and are leaders across the globe, positively impacting the health and well being of our communities everyday.  

The SoPPS Alumni Association promotes the activities of the school as well as the alumni we represent.  The Association strives to recognize and engage all our alumni while also supporting many student programs and alumni outreach activities.  

We encourage all alumni to connect with us and the school: send us updates as to your personal and professional accomplishments, become and preceptor or a Dean's Alumni Ambassador, or join the Alumni Association as a dues paying member, thus allowing us to continue our support of many student outreach programs.

Willis G. Gregory Memorial Award
This award, which bears the name of our 4th Dean, seeks to recognize an outstanding pharmacist who personifies the ideals of service, integrity, and who personifies the profession of pharmacy in the eyes of his or her associates.

Eligibility: The recipient must be a pharmacist and hold a degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

Selection Guidelines:  Nominees should be considered based on their exemplary, longstanding and professional service; longstanding contributions to pharmacy organizations, the University at Buffalo and the community; and unique achievements, discoveries and other contributions to society.

Orville C. Baxter Memorial Professional Practice Award
This award, bearing the name of our long standing faculty member extraordinarily dedicated to the professional practice of pharmacy, seeks to recognize an outstanding practicing pharmacist who demonstrates high ideals of professionalism and who's practice of pharmacy demonstrates genuine concern for patients.

Eligibility: The recipient must be a practicing pharmacist with at least five years of experience and have a B.S. in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Selection Guidelines: Nominees should be considered based on their professional and innovative pharmacy practice, concern for patients, pursuit of continuing education, mentoring of pharmacy students, participation in community health information programs; and ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.

Nominations for our 2012 Awards have closed.  Thank you to those who have submitted names - we will announce the Willis G. Gregory and Orville C. Baxter receipients sometime in January 2012 .
