Register for a SoPPS Information Session

If you cannot attend an open house, contact the UB SoPPS Office of Admissions and Advisement (716-645-2825 Option #1) to register for a SoPPS Information Session held 8:30am or 1:30pm on select Monday’s and Friday’s throughout the year.  Our SoPPS Information Session lasts about one hour. It is geared toward prospective pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences students and is a great way to see all we have to offer. It includes an information session where you'll learn about the pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences application processes, admission requirements, academic opportunities, professional experiences, and campus life; and, you’ll get answers to your questions. You'll also take a walking tour of classrooms and laboratories in our new building – John & Editha Kapoor Hall on UB’s historic South Campus. If you wish to tour the rest of the South Campus, you will be provided with a guide: Self-Guided Walking Tour of UB's South Campus.

Register for a "Visit UB Program"

Prospective freshman and transfers should also be sure to also register for a “Visit UB Program” on UB’s North Campus, offered by Undergraduate Admissions. You’ll attend an information session to learn about applying to UB, living on campus, financial aid, and scholarships and will take a walking tour of our North Campus, led by a student tour guide.  Interested students can also set up an appointment with the University Honors College. The most informative visit has guests attending both a SoPPS Information Session and the Visit UB Program.

Meet with a Peer Advisor

Current PharmD (doctor of pharmacy) and Pharmaceutical Sciences students are available in to chat with you about your pre-pharmacy or pre-pharmaceutical sciences questions. Consider this a great complement to meeting with your pre-pharmacy/pre-pharmaceutical sciences academic advisor, Sara Robinson. Please consider dropping by to say hello in 272 Kapoor Hall. Parking

You may park in Parker Lot, which is located in front of Kapoor Hall. Parking permits are required from 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday; please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to obtain a guest hangtag from our office. After 3:00pm, the Parker Lot is available for use without a permit. See also UB Stampede – Campus Busing.

Directions

Enter “3455 Main St., Buffalo, NY 14214” for your destination location to get directions to the South Campus. Before you come, download this map of the South Campus (PDF). The map will assist you in finding parking and handicap access points, as well as identify key buildings.

From North Campus to South Campus - Take Millersport Highway South (Route 263) to Bailey Avenue (Route 62). Angle left onto Bailey and turn right on Michael Road into South Campus. Continue down Hayes Road. Kapoor Hall is at the end of the road.  

From South Campus to North Campus - Take Bailey Avenue and then follow signs to Millersport Highway (Route 263). From Millersport, take the Flint Loop exit. At the intersection of John James Audubon Parkway and Flint Road, take a left onto Flint Road.

From the Peace Bridge at Fort Erie and Downtown Buffalo - Cross Peace Bridge and take Porter Ave. (turns into North St.) to Main St. Turn left on Main St. (Rt. 5). Continue approximately 5 miles. Turn right on Winspear Avenue. Turn left at first light and enter the UB Campus. Take immediate left into Parker Lot.

From the Lewiston Queenston Bridge - Take 190 South across both Grand Island Bridges to the 290 east. Follow 290 east to Millersport Highway South (Route 263) to Bailey Avenue (Route 62).  Angle left onto Bailey and turn right on Michael Road into South Campus.  Continue down Hayes Road.  Kapoor Hall is at the end of the road.

From Points East and West - Take the 90 to Exit 50 onto the 290 Youngman Memorial Highway. Continue on 290 to Millersport Highway South (Route 263) to Bailey Avenue (Route 62).  Angle left onto Bailey and turn right on Michael Road into South Campus.  Continue down Hayes Road.  Kapoor Hall is at the end of the road.  

From Amherst, WiIIiamsviIIe, Niagara Falls - Take 290 to Millersport Highway South. Continue on Millersport Highway (Route 263) to Bailey Avenue (Route 62).  Angle left onto Bailey and turn right on Michael Road into South Campus.  Continue down Hayes Road.  Kapoor Hall is at the end of the road.
