Morris receives AAPS award

American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) President Alice Till, PhD, presented Marilyn Morris, UB distinguished professor and vice chair, pharmaceutical sciences, with the 2015 Innovation in Biotechnology Award for her abstract submission “Effect of Type II Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and Diabetic Nephropathy (DN) on IgG Pharmacokinetics and Subcutaneous Bioavailability."

The abstracts were judged on the following criteria

  • Exemplifies innovation within various disciplines across biotechnology;
  • Demonstrates originality in research or approach focused on addressing a problem;
  • Provides an impact on basic science by which it can be applied to drug development;
  • Represents a creative approach that can be adapted by the biotechnology field in a significant manner
