This international workshop will introduce the concepts of evidence-based pharmacy practice along with presentations of updated pharmacotherapy in disease-specific areas, including cardiovascular disorders, infectious disease, thyroid and endocrine disorders, pain management, and pediatrics. A variety of published evidence, such as systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials for intervention, will be reviewed. The workshop will also provide an opportunity for a hands-on experience in the evidence-based clinical pharmacy practice in the US through case studies and interactions with practicing pharmacists, residents, and fellows on-site.
The workshop is primarily aimed at international pharmacists who have no or limited exposure to this topic and who are interested in developing skills in appraisal and integrating evidence-based practice into patient care.
