PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Resident, Buffalo Psychiatric Center
Chief Resident

Dr. Carolyn O'Donnell is from Barrington, IL and received her undergraduate degree in Music Business and the Entertainment Industries from the University of Miami and worked in the music industry before making the switch to pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota and completed her PGY1 at University at Buffalo/Buffalo Psychiatric Center. Her professional interests include mental health, substance use disorders, leadership, quality improvement, pharmacovigilance, writing manuscripts, and academia. She is also currently the Trainee Chair for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s Central Nervous System Practice & Research Network – Student & Resident Committee. Outside of pharmacy, Dr. O'Donnell enjoys hiking, photography, music, and spending time with her (almost) three-year-old daughter and will be welcoming her newborn in October.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident, UB Middleport Family Health Center

Dr. Christopher Brighton is from Walden, NY and received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from SUNY Geneseo. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University at Buffalo and his professional interests include diabetes management, ambulatory care, and academia. Outside of pharmacy, Dr. Brighton enjoys golf, ultimate frisbee and spending time with his fiancé and new German Shepherd puppy. 

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident, UB Middleport Family Health Center

Dr. Matthew Butler is from Plattsburgh, NY and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo. Dr. Butler’s professional interests include ambulatory care, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, and teaching. Outside of pharmacy, Dr. Butler is committed to finding the best wings in Buffalo and enjoys relaxing with friends and kayaking. 

PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident, Buffalo Medical Group

Joslyn Gabaldon is from Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy in 2020. She completed her PGY1 at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her professional interests are ambulatory care, HIV/HCV, diabetes management, healthcare policy, and academia. When away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and cats. 

PGY2 Ambulatory Care Resident, General Physician, PC

Dr. Rachael Luconte grew up near Rochester, NY and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the VA of WNY Healthcare System in Buffalo, New York. She is currently completing a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at General Physician, PC. Her professional interests include primary care/ambulatory care and managing chronic disease states. In her free time, Dr. Luconte enjoys spending time with friends and family and traveling. 

PGY2 Ambulatory Care Resident, General Physician, PC

Dr. Precious Ohagwu received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, Maryland. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at Suburban Hospital-Johns Hopkins Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland, as well as a teaching certificate from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include diabetes management, transitions of care and cardiovascular disease management. Dr. Ohagwu enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, as well as catching up on her favorite shows. 

PGY2 Pharmacy Resident, Buffalo Medical Group

Dr. Ebne Rafi is from Deer Park, NY and completed both his undergraduate studies and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University at Buffalo. After completing pharmacy school, he completed his PGY1 at South Shore University Hospital at Bayshore, NY. His professional interests include primary care, academia, and precepting students. Outside of pharmacy, Dr. Rafi enjoys hiking, discovering/trying different foods, and traveling.
