PharmD/MBA

Our Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)/Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program is our most popular dual degree program. It instills the business background and health science skills necessary to enter leadership positions in health care and beyond.

The dual degree program reduces by one year the usual pattern of a four-year PharmD program and a two-year MBA program. It is the longest, most established combined degree program available to our students.

PharmD/MBA Career Opportunities

  • Hospital pharmacy operations
  • Health care business consultation
  • State and federal health regulatory agencies
  • Pharmacy benefit management organizations
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing corporations and marketing
  • Human resource management in health-related corporations
  • Retail pharmacy administration in chain drug industry
  • Ownership opportunities in independent pharmacy

PharmD/MBA Curriculum

Students may enter the MBA after the first or second year. Their first year in the MBA consists of only MBA courses. Each candidate must meet all degree requirements of each school.
