Cardinal

Courtney Cardinal, PharmD

Dr. Courtney Cardinal received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in June 2018 and is now the current PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident at General Physician, P.C. She was born and raised in Depew, NY and currently lives in Cheektowaga, NY. Her professional interests include working in an ambulatory care setting, teaching and precepting students, and diabetes education management. She also plans to obtain recognition as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS), a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP), and Diabetes Educator (CDE). In her free time, Dr. Cardinal enjoys listening to country music, playing volleyball, and watching Netflix.

Chehovich

Dr. Chehovich grew up in Auburn, NY. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Canisius College prior to receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has an interest in psychiatric medicine, addiction, and geriatrics. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and two dogs. She enjoys the outdoors and watching HGTV.

Dr. Costello earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from SUNY Oneonta prior to earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her professional interests include transitions of care, ambulatory care, and academia. In her spare time, Dr. Costello enjoys hiking, trying new foods, and spending time with friends.

Hoelzl

Troy Hoelzl, PharmD

Dr. Hoelzl was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Western New York. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and is currently working towards completing a PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency at the Middleport Family Health Center. Dr. Hoelzl’s professional interests include diabetes management, transitions of care, and precepting students. In his spare time, he enjoys running, playing the drums, watching his favorite sports teams, and traveling the world.

Lipinski

Dr. Lipinski grew up in Gowanda, NY and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She recently completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at the Erie VA Medical Center in Erie, PA and is now the current PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident at Buffalo Medical Group. Her professional interests include chronic disease state management, academia, and precepting. In the future, Dr. Lipinski plans on pursuing a career in ambulatory care and/or academia as well as obtaining recognition as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS). In her spare time, Dr. Lipinski enjoys playing with her golden retriever puppy, hiking, and snowboarding.

Principino

Alex Principino, PharmD, MPH

Dr. Principino was born and raised near Rochester, NY and completed his undergraduate coursework at the University at Buffalo. He then earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and Master of Public Health degree from the University at Buffalo. He is the current PGY-1 Managed Care Pharmacy Resident at BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York. Prior to his residency, Dr. Principino had an intern position focusing on Medication Therapy Management and would like to pursue a career in managed care pharmacy practice after completing his residency program. He is currently interested in utilization management and provider engagement. Outside of pharmacy, his interests include tennis, meteorology, and politics.
