Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Program (PSRP)

Prerequisites

GPA of 3.0 or better OR consent of the Director of Graduate Studies, Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Required Courses

PHM 551: Clinical Research Methods 1 (Fall)
PHM 552: Clinical Research Methods 2 (Spring)
PHC 543: Molecular Genetics Methods (offered before start of Spring semester)

In case of serious scheduling conflicts, these requirements may be substituted with other graduate PHC courses with approval from the Director of Graduate Studies.

Electives

PHC 506: Biometry in the Pharmaceutical Sciences (Spring) is a potential elective course.

Other Requirements

  • Students will follow Clinical Research Program (CRP) guidelines for scientific communication and poster presentation that are part of PHM 552: Clinical Research Methods 2.
  • Students must complete at least one 6-week APPE elective research rotation with his or her faculty mentor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and may opt to complete a maximum of two 6-week APPE elective research rotations with his or her faculty mentor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
