Why did you choose pharmacy?
It is a profession enjoying peak moments of growth and development, filling out the full potential of PharmD graduates. As with any change or growth it comes with it’s challenges, but I’ve found during my time with UB it is those very challenges which make the successes that much sweeter.
Describe your experience at the UB School of Pharmacy and
It was an amazing experience. Not only was I given all the tools necessary for being successful, but I have grown in ways I would have never expected.
What are you doing after graduation?
As a PGY-1 pharmacy resident in a 1,216-bed acute care facility, I will be exposed to a wide spectrum of scenarios and a diverse population. In turn, developing the skills to pursue a second year post-graduate residency in cardiology or critical care.
How did UB SPPS help you attain this position?
I believe UB SPPS puts its students in prime position to exploit all the profession has to offer—from getting involved in an organization to leadership positions or research experience, you are given ample opportunity to grow yourself beyond the simple definition of a student.
Advice for future UB SPPS students:
Squeeze every last ounce out of your 4 years here as you can. Never stop seeking the knowledge and experience that is right in front of you, and attack every day with an unwavering curiosity of the profession and of medicine!
