Matched with Buffalo General Medical Center for a PGY-1 general practice residency
Why did you choose pharmacy?
I chose pharmacy because as a pharmacist you are one of the most accessible healthcare providers that can directly impact a patient's health. It is a rapidly evolving profession that I am excited to be joining.
Describe your experience at the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences:
I loved my experiences with UB SPPS. Not only did it thoroughly prepare me with confidence to succeed as a pharmacist, but I made lifelong friendships along the way.
What are you doing after graduation?
I matched with Buffalo General Medical Center for a PGY-1 general practice residency.
How did UB SPPS help you attain this position?
UB SPPS starts from day 1 preparing you to succeed in the demanding residency world. They stress getting involved with organizations, help set you up with challenging experiential rotations and offer programs, like the Scholar's Program, that set you up perfectly to impress residency programs during interviews.
Advice for future UB SPPS students:
My advice would be to stay open to joining/experiencing everything UB SPPS has to offer. Like I said above, the rotations, organizations, and professors will help guide you to whichever path you want to take in pharmacy if you take advantage of them.
