Pharmaceutical Sciences Accelerated BS/MS Program

The BS/MS is a five-year, accelerated program for academically qualified students that are already enrolled for the BS degree in our program. Graduates of this program are highly sought after by pharmaceutical companies.

Applications open July 1st and are due November 1 (fall semester of the senior year).

Admission Requirements

  • Only accepted UB Pharmaceutical Sciences BS students in their junior year are eligible.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Successful completion of all Pharmaceutical Sciences Undergraduate Program prerequisites, including Physics II
  • Two letters of recommendation from faculty knowledgeable of the student's ability and capability. Evaluators should comment on laboratory research, communication skills, creativity, and intangibles in the student's academic performance. An email request will be sent directly to your recommenders when you submit your application for formal review.

Application Steps

Step 1: Submit Online Graduate Application

  • Complete the Online Graduate Application
  • Be sure to mark the box if you an international applicant.
  • After you've started and saved your application, you can log back in using your Username and PIN, which will be assigned to you. Once you formally submit your UB application, you will not be able to make changes. You will still have access to upload materials and check the status of your application, but you will not be able to change your information. If you have any changes, please email pharmsci-admissions@buffalo.edu.
  • Once you formally submit your application, your evaluators will automatically be notified to submit their letters of recommendations.
  • Official transcripts are not required during the application process. Unofficial copies are sufficient. If admitted, you will need to provide the official transcripts prior to enrolling at UB as instructed.
  • Please DO NOT mail any official documents unless specifically requested to do so.

Step 2: If International, Provide Additional Documents

If admitted to our program, you will be asked to provide a copy of your passport, a financial form, a bank statement, current US immigration documents (such as current I-20 or visa), and transcribed official transcripts and official proof of degree (may be presented in person to International Admissions and immediately returned).
